Roaring 420s, Sala Phantom sala Madrid, Madrid.
The night didn’t start well: the concert was supposed to start at 22:00, but the venue was still closed at that time, with no sign of life inside. Finally, 22:45, it opened. We went inside to wait for The Roaring 420s to start. I was able to speak to the band a little before the show and they were pretty excited for being able to play in Madrid, last show of their mini Spanish tour.
We had to wait almost half an hour until the show started, so yes, almost an hour and 20 minutes later than the advertised scheduled. But that was the only bad part of the night, the show totally worth it, the german band played songs from all of their albums, mostly from last one “You can’t get out alive”. The singer also plays the electric guitar, the keyboards and the sitar!
When i talked to them, bass player told me that he was specially happy that night for some reason. We could feel it in his performance, dancing and joking a lot during the all concert, he even spoke a little in spanish (to ask for beer).
A little over midnight, they stopped playing to celebrate the singer’s birthday with tequila shots, really unexpected but fun! They played around 90 minutes that went by really fast. Great concert of an amazing band.
I really liked the concert, so much that i even bought their last album on vinyl. A must.
